Phew! The school holidays are over.
I do like my children honest, it's not them, it's me and it's the lack of routine. It does me in. I try and be all laidback but it's just not me, that's the husband's job. So this morning as I did the school and kindergarten run, I noticed lots of parents frantic and disorganised and here I was in my element, totally calm and relaxed. As I pulled in my driveway I exhaled, everyone was where they needed to be, on time, with everything they require. I feel like I've already achieved something today!
So it's just me and the baby at home and wow is it quiet. It's lovely.
So anyways on to crafty stuff...
I've been trying to work my way through some older photos, not really old ones, just ones that I got printed then didn't really bother about. Some have a story, some don't. I am reluctant to scrapbook without a story. I will do it, I'm just not always happy with the result. I'm also challenging myself to use up some older products, so you will see some old bits and pieces on my pages. I am totally thrilled when I can do this and make it work.
So the first page....
I have wanted to do this photo for a while, my husband Jamie is so laidback we joke he's barely moving! He is patient and relaxed and kind with our girls and just a great Dad. I wanted to use up some of this Odds and Ends 6x6 pad from Cosmo Cricket. I am finding using my new Silhouette Cameo is breathing life into some items I am not excited about anymore. I don't have to love every page, but I am content with it.
Do you see that Making Memories paper clip? That thing is super old. Thrilling!
Ok, second page...
So now that my new baby GG is 4 months old I am realising that I have photos of Sophia (my second daughter) at the same age and you guessed it, I haven't scrapbooked them. So I don't get confused with the photos, because it does look like I photocopy my children, they are so similar as babies, I thought I better get them done. So no journalling here, just a lovely baby.
Unlike the Odds and Ends pad, I have had no trouble using up this MME Love me 6x6. I adore it. I am really fond of grey. I did sneak in the odd old item... the Making Memries brads and the Martha Stewart felt flowers. I may use this one as the title page to her baby album since I didn't include any journalling.
So now that I've blogged I feel like I have achieved again. On a roll here.
Must do housework now..
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are

Challenge 8 - done!
I got a some new bits and pieces the other day... one item was the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6x6 pad. I loved the previous release of hers and only have scraps of those papers left. The colouring on these are a little brighter than I usually go for but I decided to give it a go.
I've been continuing to participate in Shimelle's challenges over at her blog from last week, they are such great challenges, I wish I could finish them all. So if you're looking for some challenges for this weekend, head on over there, you can find her here.
This page is for Challenge 8 - Stamp just once. Use a stamp that you should use more. Ha, ok! Ok how about use a stamp you haven't used before, which is most of them! So I used this enjoy the journey Tim Holtz stamp and I like how it turned out, I will have to leave it on my desk and add it to a few more pages I think. The papers are all from the Amy Tangerine Pad and the title is a Loni Stevens design from the Silhouette store. I am loving on the washi tape right now. Oh and the page actually has a small thin black piece of cardstock top and bottom that I must have gotten rid of when I was a little crop happy earlier.
I find party photos with loads of people and loads of action harder to scrapbook, but I wanted to document the amazing unbreakable Hello Kitty pinata that I made because it was darn funny. Lucky we have strong children, any less stamina and they would have given up. Lots of chuckles for the parents.
Off to try and get another challenge done.
Have a fab day!

Another two challenges done...
Two is better than none, right? I was so hoping to plough through a whole heap but life gets in the way. I have made some progress and I'm going to keep working away at them. It's not too late to join in if you want to, head over to Shimelle's blog, you can find her here.
I completed challenge #7 - which was called putting it in a pocket. We have a huge amount of photos from our trip to Bali and it was great to get another one done.
I'm trying hard to use up some of these Basic Grey Olivia products, I still like them but it is definately harder for me when I'm not excited about them anymore. I cut the today and the camera on my Silhouette. This is the last of my larger Maya Road Envelopes, only the tiny ones left, I have really enjoyed those.
Then I skipped ahead to challenge #12 - I am going to do some of those inbetween but I really need to get some pictures printed. So challenge 12 is to use one photo twice. As soon as I saw the challenge I knew exactly which photos I would be doing. These ones of Liv when she was a baby, my absolute favourite one.
I really enjoy using the 6x6 pads, I find I'm doing this more and more, I have always pretty much been a B side scrapbooker anyways but the scaled down patterns really appeal to me.
Must head out now to do the grocery shopping... can you hear me groan?
Things are getting a little desperate though, I can't really put it off any longer.
Hope everyone is having a sunshiney day, it's a bit drizzly here.
Take care

Oh happy day is right!
Guess what? I managed to do another page today! Somewhere inbetween, laundry, backyard cricket, feeding the baby and refereeing the other children, I got one done and it's only 2pm. Woohoo! I am really enjoying the push participating in these challenges on Shimelle's blog are giving me. Sometimes it's just the starting I have a problem with, the challenges are great at alleviating that problem.
So I skipped challenge three because I really wanted to do challenge four. Challenge four is scrapping with yellow and grey and one other colour. I chose black for my other colour. I have such affection for yellow, as a child it was always my favourite when everyone else liked pink and purple. It is my daughter Phia's favourite too, which makes me go "awww, like her mama", although she calls it "Lellow".

Supplies: Cardstock: Kaiser, Patterned Paper: October Afternoon & MME, Washi Tape, I cut the film strip, the title and the 2010 tab on my Silhouette. The "oh happy day" I downloaded from jules you can find her great blog here.
I am hoping to be back later on today with another page done, that may be a little ambitious but I'm gonna go for it.
Have a fab day people.
Take care

Sneaky Saturday Scrapbooking
So the husband has taken the big girl's swimming so I can have some sneaky scrapbooking time! It hasn't quite worked out the way I hoped as the baby is a little out of sorts today and hasn't really slept but I am still really enjoying the quiet.
I decided to join in with Shimelle's online crop challenges today, you should wander over and take a peek, look here.
So this is my page for Challenge One:
These are my first pages using my Silhouette, Woohoo! I cut the clouds, the title, the camera and the border. The cardstock isn't quite this bright in real life, my camera was being a little funky.
This is my page for Challenge Two:
I used my Silhouette to cut the title, which I love, the camera and the wee people holding hands.
I hope to get some more done, but even if I don't I'm pretty happy.
Have a fab day people!
Take care

Excited!!!!!!
To say I'm excited could be an understatement, yes definately an understatement. Yesterday my brand spankin' new Silhouette Cameo arrived. Woohoo! I have wanted a Silhouette for about 5 years now, so it was a big day. One of the downfalls of being a SAHM for me is the lack of income, so any big purchases haven't really been possible. This is a sacrifice I am happy to make though and it does make this so much sweeter. I saved my birthday money and instead of blowing it on necessities and on things for the girls I got the Cameo. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While I was waiting, not so patiently for it, I downloaded the software and had a good play around and look around in the shop so when it did arrive I already had a feel for it.
So of course it arrived on a day when the girls were home (holiday/vacation) and I had a cold but I did manage to get a few things cut out. I am just so thrilled. I hope to be able to share a few things over the next week that I have made.
I did a fabulous class for the absolute newbie called "Getting to know your Silhouette"
over here at Jessica Sprague.com. It is taught by the super talented Kerri Bradford and I really enjoyed it. It starts with the super basics which I really appreciated and taught me a lot of tips and tricks. I am already eyeing up the next class she is teaching too.
So I don't have any Silhouette projects to share yet, maybe tomorrow but I will post a few layouts!
Have a sunshiney day people

Do you think I have a thing about Kraft cardstock? Ha! I just noticed all three were on Kraft, isn't it strange how it photographs so differently, it's all Bazzill.
