Love documented

Morning people...

I'm having a quiet morning with the two bigs off at football with JJ and just the littliest girl with me. It's been a busy week so I'm taking a bit of 'just breathe' time.

I thought I would share one of my latest pages, I did this one for a challenge at Let's get sketchy.

Here is the sketch I worked from:

I followed this one really closely as you can see:

This page is about my eldest daughter and her role in her sisters lives.

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you have a really blessed day.

Elle's Studio Thursday Sketch

Hi Scrapbookers!

I really like Elle's Studio products and I have a ton, so to remind myself you to use them I am going to try and do their thursday sketch's. Their products are so usable, I've always been a bit keen on office style products... file folders, labels etc and they do all of that so well. So it's time to stop storing them and get them on a page.

This is the current sketch...

and here is my page....

Hope you are having a fab day

Trying out CSI

I had said in a previous blog post that I was looking for some new extra challenge blogs.
I thought I would try out the CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration website.
So far I have done two of their challenges and am loving it. Their approach is kind of recipe based... you get a colour combo, a list of items to pick from and a journaling option. I love that they focus on the story.

This is Case File No 125...

This is the page I came up with:

The evidence I used - two items from the list -   was something sheer (I used washi and two types of vellum), and something puffy (I used the Amy Tangerine Puffy Stickers), so as you can see it wasn't difficult at all to select items to use. From the testimony list I chose to use an Inspiration word to guide my journaling... I used time to talk about the time, commitment and the behind the scenes things that happen for JJ to be able to coach as much as he does.

Have a blessed day

Polka Dot Party I think I love you

Ok so we all know that my first love is Fifth and Frolic but you know what,  Polka Dot Party really is equal to that line or maybe dare I say it even a touch better. gasp! I know!
The best bit is, they work fabulously together and can be totally interchanged. I kinda like the Polka Dot Party has that touch of bright pink and that vibrant lemony colour to change it up some.

I did these pages a little while back for page kits... but that's all done and dusted so thought I should add them on here, in case you have some Polka Dot Party you are having trouble using.. like that would ever happen! If it does happen, easy answer, send it to me!

Note: I wouldn't normally have pages without any journaling,  that was purely because they were for kits, they will be finished off before going in the album.

# Raising Girls

Here is another page in my Collection cleanup of 'Yes Please' by Amy Tangerine.
This one I really liked how it turned out, I cut the circle die cut mat on my lovely Cameo, I seriously love this machine, and then I filled the holes (an in front of the tv job) and then all the rest came together.

I usually find that if the background has a lot going on, you don't need to do too much else.

I just realised these last two layouts I have little date tabs with no date! Must fix that now.
Thanks for dropping by.

Down the beach

I am doing a little collection clean up with Amy Tangerine's Yes Please Collection. I ended up loving this collection a lot more than I initially thought, it seems to go with everything.

I am down to my last bits now, I still have some diecuts and stickers but am almost out of papers and scraps. I love that feeling. Unfortunately I don't get to the end of a collection often enough but I'm trying.

On this page I used all my retail strips going across the page, it's worth saving those and putting them all together.

Page Share Thursday

A few pages to share...

When I first got these photos printed I was like wow I should have done them black and white, those are some bright jammies. I really thought I would have zero in my stash to work with this colour but as I looked through I did find some bits in my Amy Tangerine's Yes please collection that did just nicely.

Anyone that knows me knows how much I love the Dear Lizzy line, fifth and frolic and Polka Dot Party are my all time favourites. I really enjoy the blues and greens in the Polka Dot Party.

Liv and I on a class trip together. Love this kid.

Scrapfriends sketch challenge

I have been super productive this January and I have a whole bunch of stuff to share. I love it when it just comes so easily!

I did this following page for sketch challenge #21 over at ScrapFriends.
Here is the sketch:

A lot of the sketches they offer are a bit more artsy than I am, but I love the challenge and enjoy playing around.
Here is my page:

Gosh it had been a long time since I had done a page on my husband, I felt kinda bad. I have quite a few with him in them and with the children but not just him. I must fix that this year.

We're kind of a big deal..

Hiya!
This page had been sitting in my finish off folder for a while now.. sometimes I struggle to do the journaling at the same time as I create. My brain doesn't work that way. So I thought as a way to get them finished up I would give myself two weeks to empty my finish up folder. So far it's working!

I did this page for the January sketch over at Life Paper Scrapbook.. here is the sketch:

Here is my page:

I am so enjoying using this Hello Again Collection by Carta Bella, it is beautiful, I have liked it so much I got some more of it last week. This page is about these two small people and their bond and friendship. They are such a blessing to me.

Thanks so much for coming by

A couple more pages to share...

What a beautiful morning this morning! The weather has been very changeable lately so I am happy to see the sunshine for two days in a row.

The pages I am sharing today uses two of my most favourite collections... the first is Maggie Holmes oh I love myself some Maggie Holmes. Her stuff is so easy to use to and just really beautiful.  This page is about our Valentines Day last year... the girls had friends over after school and then sat outside to eat their dinner together..

Supplies: Patterned Papers - Maggie Holmes Flea Market, Heart Pin - Dear Lizzy, Love Paperclip - Freckled Fawn, Enamel Dots - MME, Layering Pieces - Maggie Holmes Flea Market

This page is made  using the Carta Bella Hello Again... I really love this collection, I didn't buy it initially because I was trying not to buy EVERYTHING but I knew I would get some bit and pieces of it eventually. The texture of this paper is awesome and reminds me of the old crate paper. Luckily before Christmas Scrappinpatch had a sale and I got the collection pack then, love a bargain!

Supplies - Papers and Stickers - Carta Bella Hello Again, Wood veneer - Studio Calico, Enamel Dot - MME

This page is about those moments in between the fighting when my children are actually nice to each other and they take the time to teach each other something. My favourite part is that stick together glue bottle - total awesomeness.

I'm working to get my december daily finished up and my project life's last few weeks of 2013. I have started 2014 and am hoping to share the first week tomorrow.

Better get moving, Gabriella wants me to do 'dough' with her, I make some terrible animal shapes, she looks at me all strange like - and what is that supposed to be?  I am cultivating her imagination... one badly put together dough giraffe at a time.

Have a blessed day

WooHoo! I so wasn't doing a DD this year but here I am.

It is a ton of photos so I will add them over a few days.

Any questions let me know...

Colour Challenge at LPS

Hiya

You know what I love about these colour challenges I keep doing lately... I love that they make me go through my supplies and find things that I had completely forgotten about and actually use them.
There was this great challenge over at Life Paper Scrapbook...

For this challenge this was the palate:

Pretty huh! I didn't quite manage exactly this but these were the papers I had to work with....

I did end up having to go with a brighter darker yellow than the butter yellow in the sample, you can see why... my mother-in-law's cardy needed to be accomodated.

So this is my page: Kinda Modern Kids

I wanted to document somewhere about the technology that has come to be a part of my children's generation everyday. So this one is about Skype.
