Friday night cards...

Their is something extremely satisfying about end of the day crafting for me.
It's that feeling that everyone is where they need to be, children in bed, jamie amusing himself with some comedy on the tv or on the computer and me pottering about crafting.
It is the time of day when I get to exhale and although I don't wish my days away, I do look forward to it. I love the quiet and there is not a lot of quiet in my day.

So last night I made a couple of cards...

Have a blessed day all,

Quickie Kiddie Cards

I have had a plethora of children's birthday parties going on and I can honestly say I'm getting a little burnt out of making kiddie cards. I usually love it but like anything, if you do it too much you get over it. We had four birthday's in the weekend and I remembered to take pictures of two cards, it was almost none, hence the very average photos. The time I was going to spend taking pictures of the cards was spent running around the neighbourhood after a bunny that kept going on the road.

I apologise for the super crappy lighting, that's what we get last minute. So I bought this huge A2 sheet of silver paper to make star's from when Liv's class did their learning celebration and I thought their was no way I would ever use it. Well wouldn't you know it I used it on both of these cards for the name plate. I did both of these on the Cameo and the Tiara was super fast, I am seriously going to cut some of them and have them ready to go.

Anyways, in case you didn't get over my bad lighting, something to cheer you up...

Adorable isn't he, now you can see why I was out trying to keep him out of traffic.
Have a great day

I always forget...

The reason you see so few cards shared on my blog lately is because I always remember right after I post it, that I should share it. I have a problem with posting, not the making, not the addressing, just the actual leaving the house to post the card part. Ridiculous when I go past a post box on my way to and from school. But I do. So if by chance I make it to the postbox, damn it the card is going in, even if I would so love to share it because who knows when I'll make it back. Unfortunately some of my favourites I forgot to photograph and now they are gone which is good because that is after all the purpose, but now I can't remember them.

Man I go on... anyways, I made this card for Piradee who very kindly send me some lovely washi tape and I wanted to say thanks you're awesome back to her.

Super easy card using my Amy Tangerine 6x6 sketchbook pad, I've really enjoyed that line and they are so not my normal colours. Really loving my new AC Roxie Shoreline stamps, I have used them a heap already.

I love how they have the outline and the solid, I think they're really good value.

I saw a fab card that Kimber McGray did over at 2peas for the Saturday Sketch Challenge and thought I would give it a go. Mine is pretty  much a duplicate of her's using different products. I really wanted to try her envelope look and I had a few of these glassine envelopes laying around.

It was actually really easy and I think it turned out cute, we have a ton of children's birthday's coming up so it will definately get used.

Have a great day guys,
Hayley

The rest of my NSD layouts...

So I completed a bunch more layouts for the 2peas challenges.
This is what I got done...

The first challenge was a colour inspiration, you could either go with their combo or find a combination of things around your house to inspire you. So I gathered up a few bits and pieces ...

and so this was my layout I came up with.

This page was for Challenge #4 - Continue the Morph

This card was for Challenge #7 - Using Polaroids

This page was for Challenge #8 - Beneath the layer (Using the negetive)

This page was for Challenge #5 - Using bright colours

and lastly this was for Challenge #6 - Play with Confetti

Sorry for the super long post, I just knew if I didn't get them up all at once I wouldn't do it!
Have a great day

A couple of cards...

Well it's the day after Valentines Day, what perfect timing to share my Valentines inspired cards, ha like the rest of my life I'm running a little behind. Valentines isn't a big deal here... I don't really know anyone who celebrates it, but they do put out some cute papers for the occasion.

My 5 year old got her first Valentine yesterday, she was thrilled, I think it was the only one given in the class, she was a tad confused but liked it all the same. Who doesn't like chocolate!

Anyways back to the cards...

Super simple, used the MME Love me 6x6 pad...

Happy love day people!

No excuses...

I'm not going to even offer any excuses for my slackness, I am just going to post when I have a few minutes.
I whipped up this card for my best friend's little boy Rupert's 1st birthday, I had actually made him a completely different card, but in my lack of organisation I have misplaced it, a week later I still haven't found it! Hope it didn't go in the bin.

Anyways, it was pretty quick and simple...

Using up some old MME Fine and Dandy papers, Cupcake stamp by Rosie's studio and Best Wishes by Fiskars, Ink is my good old standby Colorbox Charcoal .

Have a fab day!

Back into it...

Crafting is great therapy, we often joke that it's cheaper than therapy but sometimes I'm not sure about that! It has been a huge blessing during the last few months to have somewhere to escape to. I can get lost in it even if only for a short time. When everything around you isn't normal it's nice to have that place to go when you can just exhale. And exhale I have. I've actually been fairly productive, scrapbooking doesn't rely on water or electricity (for the most part) so you can actually do it regardless of those circumstances.

I shared a couple of layouts on Two Peas last week but hadn't got around to posting them here so here we go...

The girls and I chilling at the park, we spend a lot of time there.

I have a ton more layouts and cards and little projects to share, I'm hoping to free up some time this week. Olivia is starting at a new Kindergarten on Monday as our regular Kindergarten has now been labeled a rebuild after the earthquake. It's been sad but Kidsfirst have done a wonderful job with their priority being keeping the children and teachers together if possible. About 15 children from her morning class will be at this new Kindergarten along with her teachers to help her settle in. I am happy that we will be able to establish a routine again as it has been a little rough on her. So yah for that!

I, on the other hand need to get back to toilet training the little one, kinda hard when the toilet doesn't work! We did however go and let her select a sparkling new potty and I must say she really loves it. So I will be spending a bit of time on that, but I should also get a bit more time to photograph and get my blog running again.
Hope you are all having a fab dayHayley
