Creative Scrappers Sketch Challenge 252

Hi guys...

These school holidays have been challenging... we are on round two of the chicken pox, the two smaller ones now.  The well child is so tired of being on house arrest and so am I.

I'm trying to hold onto the sanity... thank goodness for scrapbooking and playhouse disney.
I saw this great sketch by Jenny Evans over at Creative Scrappers and thought I would give it a go.

So here is the sketch:

Here is my page...

A great mishmash of products here, I basically just rummaged through my scraps bin for anything that would work and it pretty much all went on. I had that teal arrow diecut laying around, that was rather convenient. I have actually used the backside of it as a mask for ink but you can't tell. Loving my new skipping5 puffy stickers.
This Maggie Holmes dreamy paper is a favourite, I'm trying to be brave and just use my favourites.

This challenge still has loads of time... so pop on over to Creative Scrappers and give it a go.

I better go assess some rainy day activities... the Doc McStuffins theme song is permanently stuck in my head, clearly we need a break from that!

Have a fab day

Colour Challenge Tuesday...

Looking for a challenge... looking for a challenge....
Found one! Look at this awesome challenge over at life.paper.scrapbook.
The one they had for this month looked like this....

Fun huh! I didn't actually know if I would  have the right shades but rummaged through my papers and came up with this selection...

So not bad really... most of it is pretty old, Do you see that foofala paper? that didn't make the cut but man that stuff is old and I still love it. I have been doing so much pastel lately this was a welcome change. Anyways on with the page...

Lots of favourites on here, I love that October Afternoon travel paper, I think it's hong kong, from the boarding pass collection.  I've loved it and hoarded it and hooray it has actually made it onto a page. The diecuts (hello and the yellow one behind) were floating around my desk as rejects from another page... so they were happy they got selected this time.

Used a Project Life card from the Jade core kit to journal on. Flair is Evalicious. Excuse the interesting cropping, the computer is fixed but my photoshop is not done yet. It does actually have a slightly larger black border.

Thanks for dropping by...

The computer is working and so am I....

Hi guys!

Just wanting to share a couple of pages I haven't uploaded yet, which let's face it, is most of them... I have a terrible system... correction... no system to know what I have posted and where. Anyone have any ideas on this... please share.

If I double post anything... just pretend you didn't notice.. thanks.

So a few layouts...

I loved this polariod watercolour paper from Crate Paper DIY shop it is a favourite and  those frames from The Pier collection are just awesome and you get so many I had to start using them. I had a lot of photots from Gabriella's baptism printed small and I just love this. I love pages about the little details lately.

This page is about how I refuse to call Sophia the middle child, I call her the butter in our sandwich which is exactly what she is. Mostly Dear Lizzy here.

Another page kinda story heavy about Sophia and her attachment to Miss Adi (the bear).

Better go and deal with the chicken pox people, one healthy, two to go.
Will try and get some more up tomorrow and get rid of this backlog of stuff. Yeah right.

Have a blessed day

50 projects

So I joined this facebook group called 50 projects and the premise is that you have to make 50 projects before you are allowed to buy anything. I'm not so worried about the buying things although I don't need anything I am more concerned with being productive and using what I have.

So far I have done two pages! Actually I have done more than two but I have shared two...

So here is project one...

and here is project two...

That's it for now

A little LilyBee

I've been making a real effort lately to use up some old products or at least mix old with new. I still had a pile of LilyBee papers and I really like them and wanted to get working on them.
I saw a sketch over on there blog and although I didn't follow it totally it gave me a jumping off point.

Here is the sketch:

and here is my page:

So that's one down! It's a start right.

Challenge Me Happy No 40

I love typography so I was excited about Challenge No.40. Annelie provided us with a wonderful inspirational piece...

This is what I came up with ...

I've been really wanting to use more of this Everyday Eclectic collection (designed by Alison Kreft for Echo Park) for a while now and this all came together so easily. I used the Silhouette to cut the 'everyday' out of the background kraft cardstock.
Then I just used the scraps from the collection to fill in behind each word. Most of the bits and bobs are from the sticker sheet from the same collection. Oh it feels so good to use stuff up, it's so satisfying as I love these papers! I love it when they actually make it onto a page.

I'm designing over on the Scrappin Patch blog for February if you hadn't stopped by already.... I'm covering school and valentines.

Have a great day

CMH Challenge 38

Hi all

This challenge for Challenge Me Happy was an interesting one... we were asked to use the name or some of the lyrics of the song "Somebody that I used to know" by Gotye . I rolled a few ideas around but the one that seemed most relevant to me and the one that I kept coming back to was how different I am now. I compared my life from when I was just married with no babies to now. Sometimes I barely recognize  myself. It has been a welcomed change, I wanted to get married and have babies but sometimes it still shocks me that I am that mum, driving that 7 seater, each day surrounded by small people. It was actually a good reflective page to do, I want my girls to know how I felt as I went through these changes.

I waffled on for three journalling pages but I won't bore you with the details here.

The arrow diecut and the take note die cut I cut on my Silhouette, I am still using this on every single page it's been a fabulous investment. Under the take note die cut is an Amy Tangerine tag. The paper is from Lilybee and the stamps are from the Pink Paislee Portfolio Collection.

Thanks for stopping by...
